Over 40 teachers from 25 colleges discussed on the hotpots in sport management.

3. Journal

In 2005, we attempted to do our house journal-- the quarterly SPORT MANAGEMENT. The journal included columns as the news, expert forum, academic frontline, disciplinary trends, research result introduction, foreign news, etc. This journal published the latest research achievements in sport management and academic trends, we hope it become the top academic journal in China’s sport management.

4. International communication

We organized our members to attend the annual conference of the European Association for Sport Management, the North American Society for Sport Management, the Asia Association for Sport Management, which enhanced the communication and cooperation with colleagues in foreign countries. Meanwhile, we actively invited experts from Europe, North America and Asia to teach and discuss in China. Prof. Berit Skirstad (European Association for Sport Management) and Prof. Munehiko Harada (Asia Association for Sport Management) gave speeches in the National Conference on Sport Management.

Till now we have published textbooks Sport Competition Management, Sport Event Management, Theory and Practice of Sport Management, Sport Management Science, Mass Sports Management of Modern China, Practical Sport Management, Social Sports instructor’s Skill Level Textbook, etc. The research subject Training Strategy in Olympic Games Preparation (hosted by the chairman of our branch Chi Jian) provided important theoretical support for Chinese athletes.
